Terms of Service
1. Who we are
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of TabHangar, including the TabHangar browser extension, website, account services, paid features, and related services (together, the “Service”).
The Service is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], a company organized under the laws of [JURISDICTION], with its registered address at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“TabHangar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Contact: [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL].
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By installing the extension, creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering into a contract in your place of residence. If we require a minimum age, that age is [MINIMUM AGE]. If you are below the age of majority, use the Service only with the required consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure, providing accurate information, and promptly notifying us of unauthorized access. You may not create accounts or use trials in a way that circumvents eligibility, security, or usage limits.
4. The Service
TabHangar helps you save, organize, search, and restore browser tabs and related workspaces. Some features store information locally in your browser. Other features, including account, licensing, synchronization, support, or AI-assisted features, may require network services and may be subject to technical, provider, or fair-use limits.
We may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. We will not remove rights that have already accrued under applicable law.
5. Free access and Pro trial
Some features are available at no charge. We may offer a one-time seven-day Pro trial to eligible accounts.
- No credit card is required to start the trial.
- The trial starts when you activate Pro for the first time.
- The trial ends seven days after it starts.
- The trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription.
- No charge is made when the trial ends.
- After the trial, the account returns to the Free plan unless you separately purchase a paid plan.
- Your stored data is not deleted solely because the trial ends.
We may limit or deny a trial where we reasonably believe that it is being abused, duplicated, or obtained through misleading information.
6. Paid plans and billing
Our current standard prices are:
- Monthly: US$3.99 per month.
- Yearly: US$39.90 per year.
- Lifetime: US$59.90 as a one-time payment.
Prices, taxes, currency conversion, and payment terms shown at checkout control the transaction. We may update prices prospectively with reasonable notice. A price change will not alter a prepaid period or a completed purchase.
Monthly and yearly plans are recurring subscriptions. They renew automatically at the applicable price unless you cancel before the next renewal. You authorize our payment processor, Stripe, to process recurring charges for an active subscription. We do not receive or store your full card number.
The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase for access to the paid TabHangar features during the commercial lifetime of the TabHangar service. It does not guarantee that every future feature, third-party integration, AI provider, or cloud service will remain available indefinitely.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a recurring plan through the account or payment-management method we make available. Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal; it does not automatically create a refund for a period that has already been charged.
Our voluntary refund rules are described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
8. Your data and content
You retain your rights in the tab information, workspace information, settings, and other content that you provide or create through the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us only the limited rights reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use and process any content or URLs that you save or submit. Do not use the Service to store or transmit content that you are not authorized to handle.
9. Acceptable use
You may not:
- reverse engineer, interfere with, or bypass the Service’s security or licensing controls;
- use the Service to violate law, privacy rights, intellectual-property rights, or third-party terms;
- attempt to obtain multiple trials or paid access through fraud, automation, or account abuse;
- scrape, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without permission;
- upload malware or use the Service to harm another person, device, or service; or
- use AI or network features to submit sensitive information unless you are authorized to do so.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, branding, design, documentation, and non-user content, is owned by TabHangar or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension and Service in accordance with these Terms.
11. Availability and disclaimers
We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every browser, operating system, website, AI provider, or third-party service.
TabHangar is a convenience and organization tool, not a guaranteed backup system. Browser profiles, local storage, device failures, browser updates, extension restrictions, or third-party changes may cause data loss. Keep independent backups of information that is important to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties except those that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TabHangar will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, business, or goodwill arising from or related to the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create a security risk, abuse the Service, fail to pay, or expose us or others to legal or operational risk. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in [COURT JURISDICTION] will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service, law, or business changes. We will post the updated version and change the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required.
16. Contact
Questions about these Terms should be sent to [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL].
